Motherhood changes every part of a woman’s life.
It can be joyful, beautiful and deeply meaningful.
It can also be overwhelming, lonely, exhausting and life-changing.
Many mothers are carrying anxiety, burnout, grief, trauma, identity loss or the emotional weight of caring for everyone around them. Often, they continue to carry it quietly while meeting the needs of their children, families, communities and workplaces.
They deserve somewhere they can be supported too.
Becoming The Mother works with charities, community organisations and employers to create compassionate, trauma-informed spaces where mothers can slow down, feel seen and heard, and reconnect with themselves and others.
Because when mothers are supported, families, workplaces and communities become stronger.
Why This Work Matters.
Mothers are often expected to keep going, even when they are struggling. They may be navigating pregnancy, postpartum, changing identities, difficult birth experiences, relationship changes, grief, caring responsibilities, returning to work or simply trying to find themselves again within motherhood.
Not every mother needs clinical support.
But every mother deserves somewhere she can speak honestly, feel understood and receive support before she reaches crisis point.
Through circles, breathwork, embodied practices, education and compassionate conversation, Becoming The Mother creates spaces where mothers can:
This is not about giving mothers more to do, it is about giving them somewhere to put down what they have been carrying.

Rebecca works with organisations that support women, children and families. Programmes can sit alongside the practical, therapeutic or clinical support already available.
Every community is different, and Rebecca does not believe in a generic approach that assumes every mother needs the same thing.
Professionally facilitated circles that provide mothers with a safe, supportive space to connect, reflect and share their experiences. Available as one-off sessions, regular groups or longer-term programmes for community organisations and charities.
Trauma-informed breathwork sessions that help mothers regulate their nervous systems, reduce stress and reconnect with themselves. Suitable for both groups and individuals, online or in person.

Compassionate group or individual sessions supporting mothers navigating baby loss, pregnancy loss, birth trauma, identity shifts, caring responsibilities or other experiences of grief throughout motherhood.
Tailored programmes designed around the needs of your organisation and the mothers you support. These can combine workshops, Women's Circles, breathwork, individual support, retreat days and longer-term wellbeing initiatives to create meaningful, sustainable support.

Returning to work after having a child is not simply a practical transition.
A mother may be returning with a changed identity, reduced confidence, interrupted sleep and new caring responsibilities.
Other mothers may be years into parenthood and still trying to balance work, family life and their own wellbeing.
Support for mothers returning from maternity leave, helping them navigate the emotional, practical and identity changes of returning to work with greater confidence and self-compassion.
